Blending the rich, fruit-laden depth of Old Peculier with the juicy, tropical hop character of Baby-Faced Assassin, this is a beer where heritage meets rebellion. Deep ruby-brown in colour, it opens with layers of dark cherry and treacle toffee, lifted by vibrant notes of mango, apricot, and citrus from its American hop influence. Smooth and medium-bodied, it balances velvety roasted malts and caramel sweetness with a lively, resinous hop bitterness. Here at Thornbridge we have a deep respect for British Brewing heritage and on hearing that the historic Burton Union system was being retired we decided we wanted to do our part in saving one of the sets. We installed it in Bakewell, and after getting up and running we brewed this batch of Jaipur using it, each pint is a true piece of history. Hops: Chinook, Centennial, Ahtanum, Simcoe, Columbus and Cascade.
