A modern, hop-forward Black IPA that remains refreshingly drinkable. A bold yet balanced black IPA brewed with Golden Promise malt alongside six others including crystal, chocolate and Carafa II. Jet-black in colour with ruby edges and a lasting tan head. Bright hop aromas of grapefruit, pine and citrus from Centennial, Chinook and Cascade lead the nose, lifted by tropical mango and lime from Citra dry hopping. Smooth dark-malt notes of cocoa, toasted grain and soft caramel provide depth without heaviness. Flavour opens with citrus zest and pine resin, followed by gentle roast and dry cocoa. Bitterness is crisp and clean, finishing long with grapefruit rind, pine and subtle chocolate.
