Here at Thornbridge we have a deep respect for British Brewing heritage and on hearing that the historic Burton Union system was being retired we decided we wanted to do our part in saving one of the sets. We installed it in Bakewell, and after getting up and running we brewed this batch of Jaipur using it, each pint is a true piece of history. Hops: Chinook, Centennial, Ahtanum, Simcoe, Columbus and Cascade.
An American amber ale hopped with Cascade and Centennial.
Easy drinking single hopped session IPA featuring Elani hops.
A smooth dark brew with complex flavours and a chocolate roast finish.
A balanced easy drinking, malty, traditional amber beer.
A polished blonde ale, with fruity overtones and a dry finish.
A deliciously tart, yet creamy, big-bodied milkshake IPA with all the usual rhubarb, vanilla and fiery ginger, but now soured to give that rhubarb extra zing! Basically, the liquid rhubarb and custard sweets from your childhood… but sour! Contains lactose.
Using US developmental hop variety HBC1019 for the very first time. It brings a unique aroma and flavour profile which has been described as dark rum and daiquiri, with a sweet fruit, candied aroma, with notes of banana and coconut following. Paired with two headline New Zealand varieties, Nelson Sauvin and Motueka, which bring white grape, elderflower and lime zest. The result is a thick DDH IPA with flavours of Valencia orange, candy, banana, lime, sweet fruit and look out for that nod to daiquiri. Collaboration with Two Flints and Pretty Decent Beer.
Citra leads the way in this IPA as the merry pied piper bringing everyone together - bright and punchy citrus notes setting the base for things to come. Mosaic hijacks the speaker as the kooky art-school type, with complex blueberry, bubblegum, spice and tropical notes that live up to its name perfectly, before the brash Australian Enigma takes over with some club bangers of white grape, melon and redcurrant, before a final flourish from the old school connoisseur Comet brings some classic vibes of pine and resin to keep everything balanced. A truly eclectic mix of hops, and the perfect example of the eclectic mix that turns up at the kitchen disco.
Inspired by the ridiculously tasty hoppy beers we fell for, we got brewing our own versions, over and over again, while listening to the blues greats. The heady concoction of old time blues records and juicy American hops transfixed us from the start and the rolling man was born in these sessions! Incredibly soft and delicate with intense tropical fruit hop aromatics and saturation, this is our vision of the perfect pale ale.
The second beer from our Derby Heritage range. A fruity session-able IPA brewed with verdant yeast, Citra and Simcoe hops.
Our shining light, glowing with juicy tropical fruit notes. Hoppy aromas of mango and pineapple guide you towards explosive flavour, flashes of delicate citrus highlights and refreshing balanced bitterness. Our epiphany of a session beer drinks with a pillowy soft mouthfeel and pours with a beautiful light haze. Hops: Hallertau Blanc, Mosaic, Chinook, Azacca and Simcoe. Gluten free and vegan friendly.
An unfiltered lager. A perfect balance of German hops and Lager malt to give a Kolsch style moreish taste.
The original Hawkstone Lager. Bold, yet balanced, with a smooth body and top notes of light citrus complemented by a subtle, crisp bitterness and malty backbone. Setting the standard for a British Premium Lager.
Cider with mixed red fruit, hints of strawberry, raspberry and tannic red apple.
A medium dry cider.
A fresh beautifully balanced peach cider.
A cider flavoured with rhubarb.
A dry cider.
Made from apples of a single year's harvest, all sourced from within 50 miles of our cider mill in Herefordshire. This draught cider is bright golden in colour, and slowly matured to ensure a rich and characterful aroma. A refreshing medium-dry, sparkling cider that is smooth and rounded in flavour.
A well balanced strong IPA brewed with Columbus, Amarillo and Lemondrop hops.
A West Coast IPA bursting with notes of citrus and tropical fruits. Citra, Mosaic and Ekuanot hops are crammed in, working in complete harmony with a West Coast yeast producing a beer that allows each hops' character to take centre stage. Pale and bright, it's big, bold and blonde with a sweet addictive finish. Our revival of the best from the West.
A rich and decadent chocolate and vanilla double stout. Collaboration with Tartarus Beers. Vegan friendly.
Perfectly sessionable pale ale with laid back bitterness and plenty of American hops for a punchy fruit flavour. Expect tangerine, tropical fruit and a refreshing grapefruit finish. We wanted Renaissance to be the perfect balance of big flavour and easy drinkability, this is a beer that can satisfy your lust for hops and still leave you wanting another. Vegan friendly.
A New England IPA hopped with Citra, Simcoe and Amarillo.
Our celebration of all things El Dorado. With an aroma of ripe mango, papaya and, in our brewers opinion, Jelly Tots (yes, really), it tricks a drinker into believing they're in for a hype juice explosion. By the time it hits the palate, all of those amazing citrus notes we love so much come to the fore and an all out attack of pithy bitter notes rock up to the party. A mega hazy, single hop, maxed out tribute to one of our favourite varietals.
A pale ale based on our Spur but instead of those silky stone fruit notes, we brought in a whole swag bag full of freshly cut pineapple instead. We swapped Simcoe for Bru-1 to pair with Azacca and Citra. Joining those pineapple notes are a fruit salad of mango, papaya orange, and fresh cut grapefruit for a pale ale that is so incredibly moreish. Vegan friendly.
Inspired by the classic smoothie style Indian drink that refreshes and reinvigorates the senses, we elevated our flagship New England IPA with additions of mango and milk sugar for a delicious tropical treat.
Pale ale brewed with Azacca, Citra and Mosaic hops to create a beer ultra high on the fruit-forward flavours. Expect a fruit salad of juicy mango, fresh cut citrus fruits, blueberries, and tangerine, backed up with a whisper of bitterness for balance. Vegan friendly.
A single hop pale ale using Mosaic. Featuring a higher than usual dry hop charge of 14g/l, this is an expression of everything great about this Stateside slammer. Expect to find a medley of guava, blueberries, tangerine and bubble gum taking the spotlight on this beer, before more nuanced herbal and earthy tones bring some balance to proceedings. Vegan friendly.
An IPA hopped with Citra and Mosaic. We used pamona yeast to brew this beer, which helps to give it its lovely juicy yellow colour and imparts tropical fruit notes! Expect aromas of tropical fruit, with a hoppy bitter finish!
