At 4.5% abv, this Pale Ale has a good assertive pithy bitterness and a malty backbone. It is brewed with a selection of malts: Pale Ale, Rye and Cara. We use Citra, and a blend of other American hop varieties to create some great citrus flavours.
Hard to categorise as a stout or old ale. Sweetish roast malt taste leads to a long lasting roasted, slightly bitter finish. Rich fruity nose balanced by flavours of chocolate, dried fruit and figs.

Heavily hopped pale ale with extreme fruit and hoppy flavours, but a bitter punch. Golden, tropical fruits and grapefruit might be a couple flavours you taste here.
Greenmantle is the ale with which Broughton Brewery was founded in 1979. Taking it’s name from the eponymous John Buchan novel. Greenmantle is a brown bittersweet ale, with excellent licorice aromas and a smooth hoppy aftertaste.

Oliver Phillis has travelled to Adnams Brewery in Suffolk to brew to golden IPA for us. Generous dry-hopping with three US hop varieties delivers huge tropical fruit notes, leading to a sweet malt character and subtle bitterness in the full-bodied flavour.
A dark ruby beer with the flavours of dark roasted malt and hints of coffee. Hopped with Fuggle, First Gold, and Perle. In Borders legend the Dunter is a red-capped goblin that inhabits ruined castles and guards the border from intruders.
A light, golden, beautifully balanced beer with a slight tangy and creamy finish.
Our spiced porter, pours as black as the Midnight Sun and is created from a blend of malted barley, oats, roast barley, chocolate malt then balanced with a generous helping of hops. An after bite of fresh root ginger elevates this ale to another level. The flavours are as paradoxical as the name.
Morland Old Speckled Hen has a rich amber colour and superb fruity aromas which are complemented by a delicious blend of malty tastes. Toffee and malt combine with bitterness on the back of the tongue to give a balanced sweetness followed by a refreshingly dry finish.
