Three American hop varieties are used in abundance to deliver a crisp, aromatic pale ale with clean and refreshing citrus-fruit flavours. The three C's come together to give this pale it's signature flavour: Cascade, Centennial and Chinook.
An easy drinking and refreshing IPA. Fresh dry hop, herbal character is provided by the mix of Challenger and First Gold hops. The use of crystal malt in the grist gives a satisfying toffee/caramel note and the addition of a little black malt adds just enough astringency to give a clean, dry finish. The ABV has been reduced from 3.6% due to the recent duty rules.
A perfectly balanced beer combining subtle yet complex flavours. This creates an amber ale which is both satisfying and deliciously moreish.
A malty multiple-winner of CAMRA's Champion Premium Beer of Britain, our much loved XXXB is what you'd call an English tawny beer. Just like the first batch we crafted in 1978, it's brewed with four malts and three varieties of hops, for a deliciously spicy, fruity and biscuity flavour.
A citrus dominated India Pale Ale, its immediate impression is soft and smooth yet builds to a crescendo of massive hoppiness accentuated by honey. An enduring, bitter finish.
A full-bodied, very distinctive beer with a bitter-sweet aftertaste.
A full-bodied, dark brown, strong ale. Slightly malty but with hints of roast coffee and liquorice. A smooth caramel overlay and a complex fruitiness leads to a bitter chocolate finish.
A premium robust bitter, amber chestnut colour with a wonderful aroma of hops and malt, giving a well-balanced bittersweet flavour and a satisfying finish to this distinctive brew. Brewed with well-roasted malts and generous amounts of English hops, for a satisfying finish. The use of wheat malt as well as finest pale Maris Otter malt results in a rich full malty flavour. Challenger hops give a good depth to the bitter finish of the beer.
This beer is dark strong and well rounded; the richness of such a rotund beer is brought to an even keel by the late addition of Goldings hops and natural plum flavouring. Take the opportunity and go for the low hanging fruit, this sumptuous beer really is a plum!
A pale coloured ale with a crisp, delicate fruit flavour. Dry and refreshing with a smooth hop finish.
Otter Ale is a very well balanced beer that delivers the flavours of quality floor malted barley and finishes with a combination of fruit and some bitterness. It's nose is a balance of malt and fruit.
Not called Pride Of Pendle for nothing, Moorhouse's best bitter is something rather special. A golden amber ale with an aroma of malty fruit and a delectably dry finish.
