We stuff 20 kilograms of the legendary 'Brewers Gold' hops into every small scale batch we brew to create this beautifully pale and intensely hoppy beer. These wonderful hops impart enticing tropical fruit aromas and a lovely thirst quenching bitterness.

1838 combines the best British malt, Maris Otter, with the finest Goldings hops for a full-bodied, premium pale ale with a light amber hue. This beer delivers sweet, biscuity malt flavours balanced with floral hop notes and a crisp finish. Named after the year the Burton Union system was patented by Peter Walker, 1838 is brewed exclusively on the set at Thornbridge.

A wonderfully balanced best bitter with good malty flavour and dark fruit notes, these are offset by a strong hop with a very clean finish. A great thirst quenching beer for any time of the day.
