A classic Scottish Strong Ale. Surely one of the definitive examples of the Scotch ale style. Rich, dark malty flavour with a deceiving drinkability for its ABV. Also available as a permanent cask ale. Brewed with Optic malt and Roasted Barley and hopped with Challenger, Fuggles, and First Gold.
Our renowned premium bitter ale is copper coloured and has a nutty richness derived from Pale and Crystal malts and three hops; Challenger, Goldings and Fuggles.
Bitter with a faint flowery aroma and a moderately fruity, malty taste. The finish is long but pleasantly bitter with some sweetness and dryness.
Rich in character and long on refreshment. Solid gold in colour, strongly aromatic, with hints of fresh citrus. The distinctive light malt and fresh floral flavours combine with the zesty citric hop to deliver a mouth-watering adventure.
A full-bodied, very distinctive beer with a bitter-sweet aftertaste.
Old Jock's Italian cousin, aged for 3 months in Amarone Wine Casks. This dark red ale has a full-bodied flavour of malt on an excellent background of hop bitterness. The sweet malt offsets the fruity bitterness of the Perle and Bramling Cross.
A light, golden, beautifully balanced beer with a slight tangy and creamy finish.
