A light amber best bitter with a fresh malt and peppery hop aroma, Fossil Fuel was the first beer brewed at the Isle of Purbeck Brewery in 2003. Balanced malt and a hop presence lead to sweetish caramel notes, cereal malts, a touch of tangy hedgerow fruit and a pleasantly dry and clean finish.

Brewed with spelt, which is a nutrient rich wholegrain, that provides a nutty character, this pale ale has notes of tangerine and red berry flavours from the European hops; Saphir, Mandarina Bavaria and Barbe Rouge. Brewed for IWD 2023 by Frankie, Hunter and Susanna from the brewery, with help from Kingston-based "Mums in Company".
