A dark copper premium bitter, full-bodied and packed full of hops giving interest and complexity. Challenger and Target provide underlying herbal hop and the rare Bramling Cross giving redcurrant and blackcurrant into the mix. Fabulous malty character from the pale malt and toffee from the crystal malt give warmth and the blend of hops provides a crisp bitterness. A light and hoppy session beer with hints of citrus and elderflower.
Wheat and oat additions in this beer boost the mouthfeel and body and allow the hops to be the showcase of every mouthful. Citra, EXP431 and Vic Secret hops bring on flavours of mandarins, nectarines and melon making this beer one of the fruitiest pale ales we have ever made. Russet cider blend, naturally sweetened with fresh apple juice, then spiced with cinnamon leaf. The cinnamon leaf has flavours akin to mixed spice, clove and, of course, cinnamon.
A medium dry cider made using the same techniques as Pilot, but with a reduced amount of apple juice, we were able to both increase the dryness, strength and hit of wild cider.
