A green hopped pale ale brewed with Early Choice Goldings hops grown by Sarah Hawkins at Hawkins Farming. A quintessentially British Hop, Goldings is a delicious example of the gentle aromas that English hops produce. The aroma notes include floral, slightly spicy, earthy and honey.
Gold coloured beer with a pleasant lemon, white grape and slightly bready nose. Taste reflects the nose with some astringency as the hops kick in.
A full-flavoured golden ale with a big voice. The elegant straw coloured bitter has a hint of sweetness which is complemented by subtle hop flavours leading to a dry finish. The nose of crisp fruit is apparent with a refreshing balance of taste, a bitter which is supremely consistent and full of flavour.
Amber in colour, with a careful selection of traditionally malted barley and hops delivering a balanced, fruity, citrus flavour, and soft hoppy aftertaste.
A traditional copper colour with a noticeably bitter start. Brewed with locally grown Pilgrim and Progress hops. The late addition of the Progress hop provides an enjoyable finish with hints of spice.
Traditional Bavarian style golden Oktoberfest lager. Brewed with German floor malted barley for it’s nutty, bready flavour and grassy herbal Noble hop varieties. A 6 week lagering results in a super clean, easy drinking party beer. Vegan friendly.
We've given Hopfather an overhaul with a new recipe. Mosaic, Summit, Cascade, Pilot and Azacca hops join forces to provide some seriously hoppy clout. This session IPA also boasts a new vibrant gold colour together with subtle malt overtones, zesty fruit flavours and a refreshingly crisp finish.
This celebratory beer is a traditional IPA with a robust character. British Harlequin hops provide a complex, subtle, fruity flavour; followed by a full-mouth feel with a lingering bite, courtesy of local Target bittering hops. Why Dirty Gertie you ask? It's the Bingo call for the 30 Bingo Ball and that's how many years Hobsons has been brewing for!
Traditionally crafted, oatmeal stout with a contemporary London feel. It delivers a slightly sweeter, smoother version of the traditional Irish Stout. With aromas of cappucino, dark chocolate and burnt toast on the nose, and roasted malt and coffee coming through on the taste, This rich, dark stout is best in class.
Lawless our maverick brew follows the 500- year-old Bavarian brewing law to achieve traditional purity using only four ingredients. We then added a blend of Pilgrim, El Dorado and Styrian Goldings hops. With Pilsner Malt, Wheat Malt, Caragold, lager yeast and our own mineral rich local water. Coolly lagered for 40 days - oh, and we slipped in a dash of hops, whilst no one was looking - for a sharp, citrusy kick.
As the name might suggest, Tarka Four is lower in alcohol than Tarka Lager, 4% compared to 4.8%. This makes it a fine 'session' lager designed for drinking several pints, whilst chatting with friends in the pub.
Medium dry cider with a full-bodied fruity character.
Another fruity blend from our Strawberry Field orchard - a whole hodgepodge of cider apples pressed in mid October 2022. It’s drinking beautifully; with gorgeous clarity, huge aromatic apple skins, a burst of acidity and still a gentle off dry sweetness from the young age of this cider. Absolutely smashable and belies it’s 7.4%.
Our cider blended with strawberry juice to create a sweet, refreshing drink.
Rugby World Cup special. Golden in colour, the beer is described as aromatic with a fruity bitterness.
Brewed with Pale ale malt, Fuggles and Goldings hops, Banks's Mild is beautifully balanced, smooth and very moreish. A full bodied, light chestnut coloured beer, malty but with a subtle perceptible burnt note and a hint of bitterness to counterbalance the rich biscuity flavour.
A refreshing, fruity and light pale ale that is bold and full of character, with notes of grapefruit, pineapple and lemon.
Session IPA, packed to the brim with flavour. A simple clean malt bill with Maris Otter and Oats for that lovely mouthfeel. Packed with Mosaic and Citra hops. Expect notes of tropical citrus and stone-fruits.
The first in a series of limited releases from Purity, this session beer is a moreish, unfiltered session IPA, brimming with tropical fruit notes and hop aromas.
Dry, juicy cider that has bags of flavour from the overlapping, complex tannins of the two most important cider apples in Britain (Dabinett and Harry Masters Jersey), with added depth from fermentation in a Scottish oak cask. Low acidity, high tannin, very smooth and drinkable.
The Stoke Red is a good apple to sweeten, well bodied and with a good flavour. The cider produced from this apple takes a long time to ferment, which makes the cider late to mature. The trees tend to be of a medium height and bear fruit early December. The apple, as you might guess from it's name is a strong red colour with a slight tint of yellow.
