Our thirst quenching, Carribean feeling, stick a paper umbrella in it, pina colada IPA is bursting with tropical flavours. A heady pineapple aroma and decadent coconut, combine with a satisfying hoppy hit that balances everything off just as it should.
The aroma is, as expected, rich with strawberry, with a nice malted undertone. Flavour is very much the same, but rather than sweetened, candy-like fruit flavour, it's a really fresh, slightly tangy note that really takes you out into the fields for a bit of fruit picking. The lactose smooths it all out and gives it a bit of sweetness to round off the edges. It's delicious!
This beer is dark strong and well rounded; the richness of such a rotund beer is brought to an even keel by the late addition of Goldings hops and natural plum flavouring. Take the opportunity and go for the low hanging fruit, this sumptuous beer really is a plum!
